About Us

The DACC Student Pulse is Doña Ana Community College (DACC)'s first student-run media. This digital newspaper launched in August 2026 thanks to the Community Centered Journalism Initiative grant by the Department of Workforce Solutions and NM Local News Fund, in partnership with The New School: Journalism + Design.

These are stories about and for DACC students written by DACC students. Thanks to New Mexico State University's KRWG-TV, KRWG-FM, News 22 and Organ Mountain News for their support of the program.

Hello, my name is Julian Cruz, born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I’m the founder of LNJfotoz, a local media company specializing in live event photography and videography. I love the opportunity to create, connect with people, and share the stories that matter through visual storytelling.

Denise LaFrance-Ojinaga is the editor and publisher of the DACC Student Pulse. She is the college's public information officer and manages student-run media to include DACC Talks podcast and newscast, What's Happening, DACC.
