DACC Welcome Bash Brings Student's, Families and Campus Life Together

As Doña Ana Community College (DACC) welcomes students back to campus for the fall semester, the college is starting the school year off with Welcome Bashes for students and their families.

DACC hosted three Welcome Bash events across its campuses in August, giving new and returning students an opportunity to connect with their community before starting their new semester.

These event provided free food, DACC swag, and giveaways at each campus event. 

Campus tours were also available with opportunities to for students and families who wanted to meet with academic departments and learn more about the student resources that DACC offers.  

The first bash was held on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at the Gadsden Center. The second event was Monday, Aug. 17, at the Espina Campus, followed by the final Bash, which was at the East Mesa Campus, on Tuesday, Aug 18. 

The Welcome Bash is co-sponsored by DACC’s Student Government Association (SGA), giving students an opportunity to connect with other college departments.  

As the fall semester gets underway, DACC’s Welcome Bashes are more than a celebration with food and giveaways but also provides students will an early opportunity to find and get to know their resources, and meet their campuses community.
