How to Use Books 4 Less: Your Guide to Getting Course Materials at DACC

Textbooks and course materials can be one of the bigger surprise expenses of the semester but at DACC students don't have to worry about that anymore. Since fall 2022, the college has partnered with the DACC Bookstore on Books 4 Less, a program that gets students all their required course materials for one flat, predictable fee. Here's what you need to know.

How it Works

Students don't need to sign up, everyone is automatically enrolled when they register for classes. The materials are prepared by the DACC Bookstore for each course.

Digital materials are delivered inside Canvas through MyMaterials so students can access their online library when they log in. Physical materials are prepared for pickup at the DACC Bookstore in the Academic Resources building at the East Mesa Campus. Students just need to bring a valid student ID and they get to keep the printed materials until the end of the semester.

What's Included

Any materials your instructors mark as "required" are covered, including digital textbooks, printed textbooks, access codes, courseware and some supplies. Materials marked "optional" are not included, but they can still be purchased separately at the DACC Bookstore.

Dropping or Adding a Class?

Adding a course: Digital materials arrive within about 24 hours, and physical materials are prepared for pickup.

Dropping a course before the deadline: Digital access is turned off, physical materials must be returned, and fee adjustments follow DACC's date policies.
