Dona Ana Community College's Student Government Association (SGA) is off to a new year, led by a team of officers who say they are focused on one shared goal: making sure every DACC student's voice is heard. This year's SGA team brings a mix of background, majors and priorities to the table.

Santiago Diaz - President

Santiago Diaz, a General Engineering major, leads SGA as this year's president. He joined student government to advocate for campus resources, bridge the gap between students and administration, and make sure every voice at DACC is actively represented.

Victoria Herrera - Vice President

Victoria Herrera is pursuing an associated degree in Public Health and serves as SGE vice president. As VP, her main job is keeping the Senate running smoothly, supporting DACC's student clubs, and making sure student voices reach the administration's desk.

Sarahi Rodriguez - Secretary

Sarahi Rodriguez is pursuing a degree in Allied Health Medical Assisting and now serves as SGA secretary. As secretary, Sarahi's primary goal is to enhance communication and efficiency within SGA. She hopes to improve policies and procedures, ensure records are meticulously maintained and aims to create a more transparent and collaborative environment where every member feels informed and engaged.

Ashley Sullivan-Downey - Treasurer

Ashley Sullivan-Downey, a Medical Assistant major, currently serves as SGA treasurer. She enjoys being involved with the DACC community and supporting students. She is dedicated to contributing to the campus community through SGA. Her role as treasurer includes managing the budget, financial record keeping and compliance and making sure spending follows school policies.
